School's Out for Summer

On the last day of school, when I was teaching, after the kids where all on the bus and pulling out of the parking lot, the staff would bust out our best rendition of Alice Cooper's "Schools Out". It wasn't pretty, but it sure was fun.
Ben is out of school at noon and we are hitting the beach. We have been doing this for the past 5 years. It is so much fun. The kids run and scream on the beach (it is usually a low tide, so they are way out there) and the moms sit and chit chat. Of course, we woke up to grey skies and the chance of "sprinkles". I'm more concerned about the wind that is kicking up. Wet is fine, but wind make wet really cold. Should be interesting.
I will post more tonight. Happy Tuesday everyone :0)

Happy summer to you!! A day a the beach sounds great - what a fun tradition. I don't think the kids ever care about the weather when they are outside - how old were we when that changed?? It is so refreshing to watch them playing in the rain, wind, heat, etc.

We went to Vashon Island for our vacation. I really, really liked it there and our house was great. I hope we can go back one day.

Have a great day!

Haha, same topic on my blog today, last day of school. I look forward to the last day so I finally have a break from all the stress of school. I don't mind getting up early, I still do it all summer long, but this school year has been a long and stressful one and I am glad it is over!!! Now on to some summer fun!!1
